Our specialty is placing workers in private homes. There are two main categories of people that we staff:

Caregivers:

Placing caregivers is our specialty! Caregivers assist clients in their homes, usually working with the elderly or those that need special care.

Typical caregiver duties include:

  • Following the patient’s care plan
  • Assisting with ADLs (activities of daily living)
  • Bathing assistance and grooming
  • Dementia and memory care
  • Basic food preparation
  • Medication reminders
  • Nurse delegated medical assistance
  • Transfers
  • Toileting
  • Transportation
  • Monitoring changes in client’s health
  • Providing companionship
  • Light housekeeping
  • Caring for pets
  • Companionship

Domestic helpers: Housekeepers, House Managers, Personal Assistants:

In addition to placing private caregivers, we can also help you find qualified Housekeepers, House Managers, Personal Assistants, and more!

We regret to say that due to changing market conditions we are no longer taking new job orders for Nannies or Private Chefs.

 


 

Finding Work Through McDonald Employment Services:

Experience Required:

For care in the home positions, we require that all new applicants require at least 5 years of experience. We’re especially interested in caregivers with one-on-one care experience.

For domestic assistance positions, we require new applicants have at least 4 years of experience. We’re especially interested in domestic workers with experience in large private homes.

To get the process started, we ask all applicants to send us your Résumé and your Schedule of when you are available for work. Looking at these, we’ll be able to tell if we think we can help you find a job.

Résumés should include the dates of all previous employment, as well as up-to-date contact information for you.

Interview:

Once we’ve determined that we have a good chance of helping you find work, you’ll be asked to come in for an interview with our staffing experts.

References and Background check:

After your interview, we’ll thoroughly check your references and run a background check on you. Be prepared to discuss your previous jobs in depth!
